Does God really exist?

To the believer, the proof of God’s existence abounds from the farthest reaches of the universe to the tiniest genetic particle within us. To non-believers, it is the question of the ages, relying on science or math for any proof. We believe in God through faith, who is the creator of all science and math. READ MORE

Is believing in Jesus the only way to get to Heaven?

The bible teaches there is only one way to be saved. There are many references to this in the bible. In Jesus’s own words, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6) READ MORE

Why does God allow so much pain in this world?

First of all, ours is a loving God. He does not want for us to endure pain and suffering alone. It is through pain and suffering that we can grow closer to God. We seek His comfort, His help, and our pain is eased knowing that He is in control. READ MORE

How do I pray?

God  always welcomes and hears the prayer of a repentent heart. Jesus tells his believers, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (Mat. 7:7) READ MORE

Believer’s baptism is an important act in the Christian faith and is only performed once in a believer’s lifetime.  There is no salvation in the act of baptism, nor is salvation lost without baptism. It is only performed after a person, young or old, decides to become a believer in Jesus Christ.

The Bible records John the Baptist as performing baptism in the Jordan River, baptizing many believers even before Jesus started his ministry. John heralded the coming of  the Savior and many believed as a result of the words he spoke. John recognized Jesus as being the Savior when Jesus came to him to be baptized.

Baptism is a public representation of the death (going into the water), burial (being under water) and resurrection (coming out of the water) of Jesus Christ. With each public display of baptism, we are reminded that we too will die but will live again, just like Jesus. READ MORE

Once you arrive at West Park Baptist Church, you will be greeted as our honored guest and receive the current week’s bulletin. You will be given a visitor card to fill in, so that we have a record of your visit. You may be seated anywhere in our auditorium.

A bible and hymnal is provided in each pew so you can read along with the day’s message and join in singing praises.  Envelopes for offerings are also  provided for your convenience, but as our guest, this is strictly optional.

At the end of the service an invitation is given for those who want to start a new life as a Christian, return to Christ, pray with someone, become a member, or have another spiritual need.

On special occasions we offer refreshments after the service, you are welcome to join us. Feel free to attend any of our Sunday Schools, Services or special events. We also have programs that you can become involved in, ask any of our congregation and we will be glad to assist you.

``My daughter started going to the summer camp a couple of years ago. I could see she loved it and wanted me to come to a church service. Recently I came with her on a Sunday morning and the message I heard touched me to the core. I wasn't expecting that but I'm so glad it did. I accepted Jesus into my heart. Life is different now, I have peace in my heart knowing Jesus cares for me everyday.``
